Indications:
presenting with irritability, spasmodic, cramping pain of the calves or abdomen, diarrhea with spasmodic cramping pain, cramps in the hands, and other cramping pain syndromes throughout the body,
Biomedical Applications:
polycystic ovarian disease, restless leg syndrome, post-febrile and dehydration muscle cramping, sciatica, spasmodic epigastric and abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, dysmenorrhea, spasm of the uterus, vasospasm, neuralgia, intercostal neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, urinary bladder and gallbladder colic, pain accompanying hepatomegaly and splenomegaly
Standard Dosage:
9-10 (4.5 - 5 teaspoons) grams per day.
Clinical Dosage:
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, a 50% increase in dosage may be used, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be administered for medium-term use for a few weeks to a few months. It is often administered along with a constitutional formula for several months.
Ingredients:
Paeonia lactiflora root, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root-prep. - Bai shao, Zhi gan cao.
Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection.
